Overview
Osmo Polyx Oil Express is suitable for all wooden flooring, including solid wood and plankwood flooring, blockstrip, OSB and cork floors, as well as wooden furniture.When used in conjunction with Osmo Polyx Oil Express Hardener, if is also suitable for the clear treatment of extractive-rich hardwoods, such as Meranti, Wenge and Merbau. Highly resistant to common liquid spillages such as water cola and wine.

Preperation
Ensure that wood surfaces to be treated are clean, dry and frost-free (moisture content max. 18%)
- Clean old microporous finished throughly.
- Old paints and lacquered must be completely removed and stripped back to bare wood prior to application.
- Fill small cracks, larger joints or holes in wood with Osmo Wood Filler.
- Carefully sand the wood starting with a coarse sandpaper before finishing with a finer grit sand paper.
- Final sanding for flooring use a P120-150 grit abrasive, for furniture use a P180-240 grit abrasive.
- Take care to remove all traces of sanding dust with a vacuumcleaner before oiling.
- For additional protection in damp envrionments suck as kitchens and bathrooms, consider pre-treating the wood with Osmo Wood Protector 4006, a biocide-free wax impregnation treatment.

Application
Always do a test area before starting any project to assess product suitability and final finish. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions on the tin at all times. Osmo Polyx Oil Express is ready to use, please do not thin. Stir well before use.
- Apply Osmo Polyx Oil Express thinly and evenly with a good quality, natural bristle brush following the wood grain.
- Spread well within 10 minutes and avoid build up of excess product.
- Leave to dry for approximately 2-3 hours with good ventilation (3-4 without hardner)
- Once dry, apply a second coat as above.
- Apply a maximum of 1 coat thinly to cabinet interiors and drawers with a soft, lint-free cloth.
Please note: lower temperatures and / or higher air humidity can increase the drying time. Allow for good ventilation while drying. After 2-3 weeks, the surface will have completly hardened. On cork, longer drying times are to be taken into consideration (at least 6-8 hours).

Finishing
If a higher gloss level is desired, after the Polyx Oil Express has thoroughly dried, apply Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner thinly and then buff with a lint-free cloth when dry.
